An ImmunoCAP blood test can be requested on the NHS by your usual GP.
Based on a physical examination, your case history and the blood test, the doctor will be able to make a proper diagnosis. This all improves patient quality-of-life.
All patients with recurrent or persistent ‘allergy-like’ symptoms such as blocked or running nose, nasal catarrh, itchy running eyes, cough, breathing difficulties, dry itchy skin, diarrhoea and stomach pains should be investigated with the help of ImmunoCAP Specific IgE blood testing.

'IgE blood testing helped enormously in the diagnosis of my son's multiple food allergies. The test confirmed the allergies we thought he had and highlighted others which we had not known about, potentially saving him from a severe allergic reaction. He now has annual IgE tests so we as a family can accurately track his progress, he has grown out of a couple of specific allergies and we are ever hopeful with every test he has that he will eventually outgrow them all.'
