Phadia Enviromental Policy

Phadia AB develops, manufactures and markets diagnostic tests, chiefly in the fields of allergy and autoimmunity. Our work will be imbued with a holistic view of people and the environment, and their mutual interaction. We demonstrate our concern for our employees’ health and safety, and our respect for the environment, through preventive measures and continuous improvement.

Our principal aims will be to:
  • Strive to minimise discharges to land, air and water from our significant environmental aspects.

  • Maintain an open dialogue with employees, customers, authorities and the general public. We will keep customers, suppliers and contractors informed about our environmental work.

  • Use energy and raw materials prudently, and reduce the amount of waste. Waste will be sorted at source, so that as far as possible it can be returned in accordance with the ecological cycle approach.

  • Evaluate environmental situations by taking regular measurements and carrying out environmental audits, through which we lay the foundations for improvements to the internal and external environments.

  • Take suppliers’ and contractors’ environmental work into account when we procure goods and services, in order to achieve shared improvements in partnership.

  • Avoid strain injuries, make the design of our workplaces ergonomically correct and in general have safe and healthy workplaces.

  • Have committed personnel who are trained for environmental work.

  • To have a fire protection to protect people, facilities and the environment. The protection and safety of people shall always have the highest priority.

  • Fulfil the requirements of the environmental management standard ISO 14001 to guarantee that we comply with the authorities’ legal and other requirements in the areas of the environment and the working environment.

  • Aim to be ahead of national and international legislation in the areas of the environment and the working environment.

This policy has been formulated in accordance with Phadia’s fundamental values. The environmental policy will be reviewed and updated regularly, and departures from it are dealt with in accordance with established procedures.
